Michelle Kern Hall, UW-Madison Japanese alumna and IIP interim Director, will introduce and answer questions about the IIP internships in Japan (below), as well as others you can apply for independently both for 2018 and planning ahead for 2019 and beyond. The majority of internships in Japan provide a stipend and housing.
Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) is now accepting applications for the summer 2018 program. This internship accepts applications from undergrads in any field who have an interest in high-speed rail, Japanese business, and U.S.-Japan relations. Japanese is helpful, but not required.
