Summer Internships in Asia

Want to intern in Asia? Learn more Monday, February 5 from 4-5pm in 206 Ingraham Hall. Michelle Kern Hall, UW-Madison Japanese alumna and IIP interim Director, will introduce and answer questions about the IIP internships in China, India, Nepal, and Thailand (below), as well as others you can apply for independently both for 2018 and planning ahead for 2019 and beyond. Japan internships will be discussed in detail on January 31 (4:30-5:30 in 206 Ingraham), but mentioned and materials shared to participants in this session as well. 

 

China: Aston Educational Group is seeking native English speakers to intern as English instructors during summer in Dalian, Jinan, Xi’an or Xianyang in China. BioFarm in Shanghai is looking for interns with Chinese skills interested in organic farming and marketing.

India: Women’s Education Project is seeking a team of two interns – one to be based in the U.S. and one to go to Madurai, India for 6 weeks to work on their new Career Project with college women in India.

Nepal: Several design and artisan organizations are seeking interns for both design & product development as well as retailing/marketing support.

Thailand: Buzzebees in Bangkok is open to interns for a variety of projects including communications, business analysis, market research, statistics, IT and more.
