Looking for an internship in Europe this summer or fall? IIP has these exciting opportunities located across Europe that are just for Badgers.
1. Denmark
Did you know Denmark is one of the happiest countries in the world? Check out our hyggelig internships at start-ups Actimo and WireDelta, and at the Music Confucius Institute.
Fun fact: Funding from the private Scan|Design Foundation can help off-set the cost for Badgers interning in Denmark.
2. Austria
If you’re a fan of music, nature or cafes don’t miss this opportunity to intern in Austria. Braintribe, a start-up in Vienna, is looking for People Experience and Platform Domain interns for this summer or fall.
Fun fact: The supervisor for the People Experience internship is a UW-Madison alum.
3. Slovakia
Located in the heart of Europe Slovakia offers beautiful landscapes and impressive architecture. Join Fulbright Slovak Republic this summer as an office management assistant and help strengthen US-Slovak relations.
Fun fact: Slovakia has the world’s highest number of castles and chateaux per capita, more than 6,000 caves and 9 national parks.
4. Germany
Home to renowned universities, Germany is a top destination for STEM internships. Complete research in a UW-Madison alumna’s lab at the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich Biomedical Center or across Germany with UAS7 (apply by 2/15). Join Plexus in Darmstadt for a summer internship in product development and embedded systems (apply by 1/28).
Not interested in STEM research? Participate in sustainability education projects with Innovation Academy in Freiburg or English – German translation with Wacker Chemie AG in Munich.

5. Ireland
The Emerald Isle is home to gorgeous landscapes (think Game of Thrones or Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and friendly people. Explore Irish life and culture with USIT as a Work & Travel or Marketing intern this summer or fall.
Fun fact: Many former USIT interns now work in study abroad offices thanks to this internship.
6. France
Be more than a visitor in the world’s most popular tourism destination. Check out our summer & fall internships with ESCAL Consulting (apply by 1/4) and webedia, both located in Paris.

7. Iceland
Nature lovers shouldn’t miss out on Iceland’s countless waterfalls, fjords and mountains. Join Reykjavik University’s Center for Biomedical and Neural Engineering for exciting research projects this summer!

8. Spain
Looking for the opportunity to improve your Spanish and to explore Spanish culture? Spend your summer or fall teaching English in Seville with English Social Club or assisting a publishing non-profit in Madrid or Vigo (northwestern Spain).
