IIP offers an orientation for out-going interns abroad each fall and spring. We cover the Worldwide Internship Program logistics and online course. We discuss working across cultures, setting internship expectations, and preparing to travel to and live in a new country. Region-specific groups allow interns to meet other UW students who will be nearby and further explore expectations and preparations for living and interning in that environment.
Orientation for spring interns is on a Friday in November; for summer or fall interns it is a Friday in April.
Students working with IIP are required to attend, but we are happy to invite others going independently, space permitting. Please contact us for orientation details to see if this makes sense for you or your students.
