Matt Payne, a UW–Madison student Rochester, Minnesota, who majored in Chinese and economics, spent the summer of 2011 writing editorials and op-ed articles for The Wall Street Journal Asia editorial page in Hong Kong as a Robert Bartley Fellow.

Originally born in Romania, Vlad Ionescu moved to Chicago at a young age and came to Madison to study finance and real estate in the School of Business. He spent the summer 2011 semester abroad working as a finance intern for an international company called Abbott located in Zwolle.

Dhina Susanti: An International Engineer- June 2, 2011

Dhina Susanti majored in electrical engineering. Originally from Semarang, Indonesia, Dhina first came to Madison in 2007 through a scholarship from the Freedom Institute. She went to Beijing, China to take part in an international internship with Bucyrus International.

Mandy Chan: Chinese Student Shares Benefits of Studying at UW–Madison- September 23, 2010

 Mandy [Sioman] Chan grew up in Macau, China. She came to UW-Madison in 2008 to study computer engineering. Mandy worked in UW–Madison’s Division of International Studies’ communications office for one year. In summer 2010, she traveled back to China to intern at Companhia de Electricidade in her hometown of Macau.

Jenny Parker was a student in the Professional French Masters Program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. As part of the program she was required to do an internship in a francophone country. Because she already spent five years in France she decided to do her internship in Senegal.
