University of Wisconsin–Madison

Credit for independently-found internship deadline March 2!

Have you found an internship abroad on your own? Would you like to receive UW-Madison credit for it?

The Worldwide Internship Program (WIP) lets you do just that! WIP includes a 1 or 3 credit online course taken during your internship abroad. The course includes weekly assignments that focus on cross-cultural relations in the global workforce and internship reflection. Your classmates are fellow Badgers interning in various fields around the world.

WIP is offered in the spring, summer and fall semesters – please note the 1 credit option is only available in the summer.

Louis found his own internship in Germany and took WIP to stay enrolled at UW-Madison.

WIP also includes international health & travel insurance, 24/7 emergency support, continuous enrollment at UW-Madison and eligibility for scholarships.

Apply here by March 2 for Summer or Fall 2018.
We take applications on a rolling-basis after our March 2 deadline. Please apply as early as possible (even if not all internship details are confirmed).
